Mr. Jim Moncherry serves as the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) at SPA where he leads the Security Department. He is responsible for ensuring the Authority’s compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. He was appointed in this position in August 2024 after serving for four years as Security Manager within the same department. As part of his professional development, he successfully completed the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Training, IMO Model Course 3.21, equipping him with the competencies required to develop, implement, maintain, and regularly review Port Facility Security Plans in accordance with international maritime security standards. Prior to joining SPA in 2020, Mr Moncherry built an extensive career in public service. He spent over 13 years in the Public Health Sector as a certified and licensed public health professional before transitioning to public administration, where he served as a District Administrator.
