Mr. Franky Laporte joined SPA in 2004 as a Project Manager at its inception, after serving more than a decade, rising through the ranks to become Principal Traffic Engineer at the Department of Land Transport. He has a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering and has undertaken numerous courses in Port Management and Port Engineering. Mr Laporte’s role is one that is instrumental to SPA, which includes oversight of new port development projects and, maintenance and upkeep of port facilities and SPA premises. Mr Laporte is now heading SPA’s biggest project, the Port Victoria Rehabilitation & Extension Project.
